It's learning to look past life's imperfections

Almost had a Fire

I think I jinxed myself. I mentioned before my love affair with my Bunn coffee maker and a few days later it started leaking.  Today I kept smelling a hot electrical smell.  You know what I mean.  The smell that makes your heart jump and thoughts of “Oh #$%” what’s on fire.  All day Id get random whiffs of it.  Well, tonight Mr.. Fix~it was took my coffee maker apart to see where it was leaking & this is what we foundbunn Died 045

The photo’s not the greatest but it’s dark gray inside from smoke.

It looks like the drain section rotted out

bunn Died 048

and allowed water to drip down on the electrical “stuff”bunn Died 046

The inside of this “sealed” area was full of water.

Hence the “hot electrical” smell!

Mr.. Fix~It & Isaiah are out right now after a new Bunn.  Yes, I’m that scary in the morning with out coffee!

  1. Oh, gosh! I'm so glad you figured out what it was. I watched my sister's house burn down because of wiring like that. What a blessing you have, in that smoke smellin' snout of yours. ;)

You already know I'm ocd. But, I'm a freak about appliances. If I'm ten miles down the road, and I can't remember if I've unplugged my straightener, or turned the coffee pot off, I'll turn around and drive back home. I have to check three or four times before I leave the house. It's a disease. I guess from seeing what it's like first hand to loose everything.

    Be thankful tonight. Be blessed.

(Good Gawd, what's wrong with me? I'm so emotional with the girls gone! Ugh! lol)

  7. I'm glad you found the problem out! That's scary!

You must really like & need your coffee if he immediately went for another one lol. I wish I could switch from Dr. Pepper to coffee. It would be a lot cheaper!
