Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It's learning to look past life's imperfections

We’ve Got HAIR!

I’m sure you realize I’m a bit excited for her!

Rachel’s been keeping a bit of a weekly photo diary of her hair growth. This is the 4th in the set.

DSCN2488

About 1 month of hair growth! YEAH!

Its interesting how some areas are filling in faster than others.

The spot behind her ear resembles a hair bow. Which is ironic because as a child she would pull out any ribbons or bows as fast as I put them on. Kind of like God saying..can’t pull this one off!

I’m way behind on posting and will catch up soon, we’ve had a lot going on.

***********Hayden Time!****************

Its been quiet on the blog....
Lots of scrambling to get things done so I could leave for a day.....
Mr Hayden had a end of the year preschool program & I did not want to miss it!
So I did my run EARLY Thursday morning & that evening Isaiah & I drove up to Indy!
I picked up a new kids CD for the trip.....
if its a few years till I hear BINGO,
She'll be coming Round The Mountain, Hole in the Bucket,
Supercalfragalistic,
John Jacob Jinglehimer Schmidt.....
I wont be upset.
At all
Rachel & Adam had the house built just about 2 yrs ago,
really nice subdivision lots of young families.....
Not to sure the wild life has adjusted tho......
This is a fake Ficus she has on the corner of her front porch.
They have a house guest.
A dove has made her nest in the tree against the house...
2 eggs I believe.......

We were up to see Mr Hayden off to school on the yellow school bus...
Hes required to have a full sized back pack!
How silly is that!
He looks like a turtle!
Rachel's' gonna love me for that photo

Isaiah was able to see him off on the school bus with Adam
Love the blue insulation board they found in the front yard?
The benefits of new construction materials blown around!
I thought it would make a great flannel board but.....

The MAN Himself on stage performing
"NO more Monkeys Jumping on the bed"
And perform he did! He knew all the songs & dances..he even jumped!
(major for Mr Hayden)

The parents had no idea what the program was about
this explains why he has been walking around the house shaking his finger saying
"No Jumping"
It was just to cute.
The teachers had t-shirts made for all the kids with monkeys jumping on a bed.
Adam videoed for parental blackmail in the future.
It was really a fun day.
Larry's parents made the drive up that morning,
& we all had lunch together after the program
Great visit!

Sewing Bug Strikes Again

Looks like Spring brings all sorts of bugs. Rachel was scheduled for one last transfusion but had to delay it do to the same "creepin crud" bug everyone else is getting. Its a double whammy for her as her resistance is so low & the transfusion would be a big boost to her system. But, they will not transfuse if you have a fever.....she was running 102. So, she will have to reschedule. Hayden has the same bug so lets just hope they don't give it back and forth to each other!

I got bit by the Sewing Bug. I used to sew and quilt all the time. I made dance costumes for years and just got burnt out. Working for a major chain fabric store for 8 years created a....well, lets just say MASSIVE stash and leave it at that.
I've been trying to sort through some of it and just touching the brocades, velvets and cottons have my fingers just itching to dive in again. I found 3 quilts nearly completed about 6 pair of flannel pants waiting elastic.....bolts of Lycra & sequins from costuming.....I really need to destash. But then I think well, I could put a few leotards together and list on Etsy, finish those quilts and update some bedrooms. I could do a lot with it. But would I?

We have quite a few friends with small children so I've pulled a small stack out to make up some skirts/tops and sun dresses. I think if the outfits go over well with them I'll see how well they do on Etsy! I get to play with fabric & sew little girl things which I love, start cleaning out the sewing room.

Rachel Up Dates

I've had quite a few e-mails asking how my daughter Rachel is getting along. First of all, THANK YOU!! for all of you holding Rachel & family in Prayer.
Shes doing well, looks like treatments will continue for a few more months at least. Christmas makes a year!
After spending Thursday, Friday & part of Saturday with Adam, Rachel & Hayden you'd think I had a camera full of photos. I have quite a few of Hayden but not one of Adam & Rachel. I even had 3 sets of charged batteries!

Here is a cell shot she sent me last night!
Please keep those Prayers coming!
