Looks like a bright spring morning
Deceptively I say as the temps are hovering in the mid teens range. The bird bath has yet to melt. When I knock the ice out & refill..it’s frozen within a few hours.
In the shaded areas the snow still lingers and ices each night
We’ve not had half the snowfall we need for moisture so this summer will be a dry one
Yet all I can think of is digging in the dirt and planting seeds….and seeing green, Green,
GREEN!
Who else is longing for spring?
me! though in Florida it has been so warm the trees started to pollinate! poor things won't like that it will fall below freezing tonight.
ReplyDeleteWe had that last year, it was so warm all the trees and fruit started to bud....then it froze and snowed again.
DeleteI sure am longing for spring. With work cancelled today because of -50 degree temperatures...yes, spring is more than welcome to make an appearance! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's cold!! Glad you had the day off and didn't need to go out
DeleteSpring would be nice ,with the daffodils blooming and the dogwoods. Its a southern thing lol!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hear you! We have a dogwood tree out back & I can see it from the kitchen window. About 5 years ago I tossed a bunch of bulbs on the wood line...now in sprin I have naturalized flowers popping up & just love the look
DeleteI have been longing for spring since winter started, lol
ReplyDeleteKatie, did you know you can purchase bird bath warmers?
My Mom has one in her bird bath, it's about $20.00.
Sandy, the older I get the less I like winter. My toes just freeze and hurt.
DeleteThanks for the tip about the warmer, I'll check into that. The birds are not without....we have a large pond right behind the house
I like the different seasons but, I'm really ready for warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Calif...my mom used to talk about the season change....boy howdy was I in for a treat when I moved east. I used to send her a box of fall leaves once in a while
