So many projects I start for gifts family knits and they end up set aside for customs. Don’t get me wrong…. I’m not complaining about the custom work,it pays my bills.
But, this time I’m bound and determined to finish this The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief in the next few days.
I cast on late last night and got this far about inches in.
I’m thrilled with the color flow, no heavy stacking or pooling at all…AWESOME dye work!
Today we needed to travel to Indy (2 hours each way) and I was able to compete all but the last section. So tonight, my rear is plopped in a kitchen chair knitting away with a fresh cup of coffee at my elbow.
We’ll see how far I get!
Have a great evening
Katie
Can't wait to see the finished project! I just started knitting this year, have to say the old hands get tired pretty quick.
ReplyDeleteIzzy, I actuall wrote & forgot to post this post Saturday night. Last night wne we got home (numb butt) I had less than 2 inches to go. Needless to say I stay'd up to finish it. It's blocking now
ReplyDeleteSo you can drink coffee late at night (while knitting away) and it doesn't keep you from sleeping when you finally crawl into bed?
ReplyDeleteI'm not much for staying up at night but I do get in knitting for a couple of hours IN THE MIDDLE (which is not good, I realize) of the night and outside the fact that I'm missing much needed beauty sleep (!), I do enjoy the knitting and what I accomplish.
The yarn/colors in the "kerchief" are gorgeous!
Oh, I drink coffee right before bed, it's never bothered mebut lately...I've been cutting way back. I get sucked into a project and end up late all to often!
DeleteLove that yarn and the colors are amazing!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, the colors are just stunning & hope I 'm able to capture them correctly in the finished photo. Lunabud Knits always has wonderful blending
DeleteThat looks interesting with those colors.I would like to see the finish of it!
ReplyDeleteThey should be up in just a bit
DeleteGreat colours, I found some cool bright coloured yarn last week, there's quite a bit of it, I've no idea what I'm going to do with it though.
